Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to improve a collection of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which function penstocks controlling motion of ships between the ocean and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
เกจวัดแรงดันอากาศ of A-range actuators had reached the tip of their operational life after lengthy service in a difficult surroundings. BAE Systems wanted to retain all the benefits of electric actuators, so IQ3 actuators have been chosen. These needed to be specifically adapted by Rotork to beat problems around confined spaces and difficult entry.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes were mechanically adapted so that each actuator and gearbox might be manually operated with out coming into the confined house. Rotork designed particular hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to remove the need for confined house access.
Actuators inside the IQ range are watertight, providing ingress safety to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have a complicated twin stacked show with configurable information logger performance, and an absolute position sensor supplies reliability and accuracy.
